We are seeking dedicated, passionate educators to join our unique cooperative preschool community in Hillcrest. We are currently hiring for a variety of teaching positions, including Support Teacher (Floater), and Assistant Teacher.
Our program is rooted in a play-based philosophy, grounded in the belief that children learn best through exploration, investigation, and meaningful play. We provide children with the time, space, and support to develop curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

As a year-round program, we prioritize the well-being of our staff by providing more than five weeks of paid school closures annually, in addition to accrued paid time off. Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Support children's development through a play-based, inquiry-driven curriculum.
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with teaching teams and actively participate in the school community.
- Observe, document, and support children's growth and development.
- Maintain professionalism while adhering to all licensing regulations and program policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of early childhood teaching experience (paid internships qualify).
- Minimum of 12 units of ECE college coursework
- Strong understanding of and commitment to play-based, child-centered education.
- Warm, nurturing, patient, and collaborative teaching style.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Lift, carry, and assist children weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and sit on the floor to interact with children.
- Respond quickly in emergency situations and safely supervise children in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Schedule
- Year-round program with scheduled paid school closures.
- Monday through Friday.
- Must be available to work shifts between 7:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
