NOW HIRING: RETAIL SALES MANAGER Sports Cards & TCG | Homewood, Alabama
Magic City Collectibles is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused Retail Sales Manager to join our growing team at our Homewood, Alabama location.
We are a sports card and trading card shop specializing in sports cards, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and other TCG products, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about the hobby and enjoys working with customers and collectors.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day retail store operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for collectors and hobby enthusiasts
- Drive retail sales and help achieve store sales goals
- Assist customers with sports cards, TCG products, supplies, and collectibles
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with receiving and organizing merchandise
- Price, display, and merchandise products throughout the store
- Buy and evaluate sports cards and TCG collections
- Help maintain current knowledge of the sports card and TCG markets
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reconciliation
- Help manage and train retail staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment
- Assist with in-store promotions, releases, events, trade nights, and other customer activities
- Help develop relationships with customers and build a strong local collector community
- Monitor sales trends and communicate inventory needs and opportunities to management
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous retail, sales, or management experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A passion for sports cards and/or trading card games
- Knowledge of the sports card, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or other TCG markets
- Experience buying, selling, or trading cards is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- A positive, energetic, and professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic computer and point-of-sale experience, perferably Shopify
- Availability to work weekends and during special events as needed
