We are looking for a dependable and personable Retail Store Associate to assist with the day-to-day operations of our small retail business. This position includes operating the register, delivering great customer service, restocking merchandise, and preparing products for sale by labeling and entering them into the store system. The right candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and comfortable interacting with customers in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and create a positive shopping experience
- Process sales transactions quickly and accurately
- Accept and handle various forms of payment, including cash and cards
- Replenish inventory and keep displays neat and attractive
- Unpack and organize incoming shipments
- Tag merchandise and input product details into the store system
- Answer customer questions and assist with purchases
- Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting
- Track inventory and notify management when items are running low
- Follow company guidelines and procedures to support daily store operations
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable with basic math and technology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Friendly, professional communication skills
- Able to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate products
