Hand Sewer / Wire Harness Production Associate
Do you have experience sewing, stitching, weaving, embroidery, upholstery, quilting, or working with fabrics? Your skills may transfer directly to wire harness production. The same attention to detail, hand dexterity, and precision used in sewing and weaving can be utilized to assemble, route, bundle, and secure wiring for specialized cable and wire harness assemblies.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hand Sewer/Wire Harness Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals with sewing, weaving, or similar hands-on experience who are looking to apply their skills in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to specifications.
- Perform lacing, wrapping, bundling, and securing of wires using techniques similar to sewing and weaving.
- Route wires through harness boards and protective sleeving.
- Read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams, and work orders.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Meet production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous sewing, weaving, stitching, tailoring, upholstery, embroidery, or similar experience preferred.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive, precision-based work.
- Comfortable working with small components and hand tools.
- Manufacturing or wire harness experience is a plus but not required.
