Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for issuing work orders for both stock inventory and custom projects, ensuring smooth production flow and timely delivery. This role requires familiarity with ERP systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects efficiently.
Duties
- Issue and manage work orders within Visual Manufacturing ERP for stock inventory and custom signage projects.
- Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for stock replenishment.
- Track and monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and adjust schedules as necessary to optimize workflow.
- Manage inventory levels through MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to ensure materials are available for production without excess stock
- Ensure accurate documentation and proper recording of all work orders.
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve any scheduling or material issues.
- Assist in forecasting production needs based on upcoming projects and inventory status.
- Maintain organized records of production schedules and related documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Visual Manufacturing or similar enterprise resource planning software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and process tracking
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to facilitate teamwork across departments
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of signage and graphics industry is a plus but not required. Your expertise will help us streamline processes, boost productivity, and deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Director of Production Planning.
** Salary commensurate with relevant experience**
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
