Job Description
True North Asphalt is seeking an experienced Excavation Crew Member to join our Dirt Crew Team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with underground installation work and be comfortable working as part of a fast-paced excavation crew on commercial and municipal projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform grading and trench work to proper elevations and specifications
- Assist with excavation, backfill, and site prep
- Work safely around heavy equipment and active job sites
- Follow job plans, grades, and direction from foreman/superintendent
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- Experience installing manholes, catch basins, and storm/sanitary pipe
- Strong understanding of grading and elevations
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with asphalt or paving crews
- Equipment experience (excavator, skid steer, loader) a plus
