Star Title is urgently seeking a full-time, experienced Closing Officer to join our Kalamazoo office! This role is responsible for conducting real estate closings, refinances, etc. Compensation is based on experience (pay is at an hourly rate, paid bi-weekly).
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer service - Building and maintaining client relationships
- Notarizing closing packages
- Balancing and working up files for closing - accuracy is important!
- Effective and thorough communication with all parties
- Preparing settlement statements
- Turning in files timely to post-closing to be processed
- Coordinating check delivery, if applicable
- Other applicable responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Good attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle several ongoing tasks simultaneously
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Professional appearance
- Positive attitude
- Experience in title insurance and performing real estate closings is required.
