Contracts Manager – Commercial Solar

Main Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the contractual and administrative aspects of commercial solar projects from bid through project close-out.
- Prepare bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors.
- Solicit bids, normalize proposals, evaluate pricing and scope, and coordinate subcontractor awards.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements, purchase agreements, and other project-related contracts.
- Track contract milestones, compliance requirements, insurance certificates, bonds, lien waivers, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate bidding activities to ensure compliance with customer procurement requirements and applicable laws.
- Follow up with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding and award process to ensure timely responses and complete proposals.
- Support Project Managers with contract administration, project documentation, scheduling, task management, and change order processing.
- Coordinate communication between clients, subcontractors, vendors, engineering, procurement, accounting, and construction personnel.
- Assist with project scheduling, task tracking, meeting coordination, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Review project documentation to ensure contractual compliance and support successful project execution.
- Assist with project close-out documentation and final contract requirements.
- Perform other project management and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in commercial construction contracts, project management, procurement, estimating, or contract administration (solar or electrical industry preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required).
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction contracts, subcontract administration, bidding procedures, and procurement processes.
- Experience preparing bid packages, reviewing proposals, normalizing bids, and coordinating subcontract awards.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management or contract management software preferred.
- Knowledge of construction documentation, compliance requirements, and contract administration best practices.
- Knowledge of NEC, IBC, and NFPA standards a plus.
- Solar industry experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
