Apartment Maintenance Technician / Laborer

The Liberty Group is hiring Apartment Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Laborers for residential communities throughout Providence and surrounding Rhode Island areas.
We are looking for dependable, hands-on candidates who enjoy working with their hands and are comfortable handling a variety of maintenance, repair, and property upkeep projects. Apartment maintenance experience is a plus, but we are also interested in candidates coming from construction, carpentry, handyman, facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, grounds, or other skilled trades.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your experience and the property, responsibilities may include:
- Completing general maintenance work orders
- Preparing vacant apartments for new residents
- Painting, patching, and drywall repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Basic electrical repairs
- Appliance troubleshooting and installation
- Carpentry, doors, locks, and hardware
- Groundskeeping and property clean-up
- Trash removal and common-area upkeep
- Light demolition and general labor
- Assisting experienced maintenance technicians with larger repairs and projects
- Following property and workplace safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous maintenance, construction, facilities, handyman, or skilled-trade experience preferred
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Dependable and able to arrive to assignments on time
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Professional when working around residents, property staff, and occupied apartments
HVAC, EPA, OSHA, plumbing, electrical, or other maintenance-related certifications are a plus, but not required for every opportunity.
