Job Title: Forklift / Tow Motor Operator – Metal Stamping
Company Overview:
We are a busy and growing metal stamping facility looking for an experienced Tow Motor Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting plant operations by moving materials, dies, and scrap across the shop floor to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift (tow motor) to move containers, raw materials, finished goods, and scrap throughout the stamping plant
- Transport and position dies and heavy tooling for press setups
- Load and unload materials from trucks and production areas
- Safely handle and dump scrap bins as needed
- Assist with other material handling tasks as assigned to support production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all plant safety rules and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous forklift / tow motor experience in a metal stamping or similar industrial environment is required
- Solid understanding of shop floor material movement and supporting production needs
- Experience moving dies, containers, and scrap bins
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay organized under a busy production schedule
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Compensation:
- $18/hour minimum, with pay negotiable based on experience
