Overview
Join our dynamic team as an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician and Installer, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems across diverse properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from commercial refrigeration to residential HVAC setups, ensuring optimal climate control and system efficiency. As a key contributor, you'll bring mechanical expertise, technical skills, and a proactive attitude to deliver top-quality service and support operations. We have numerous projects currently underway that require HVAC/Refrigeration Tech skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment across multiple sites.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute installations accurately.
- Perform service calls for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC and refrigeration systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration components.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues within HVAC/R systems.
- Weld or fabricate parts as needed for system repairs or custom installations.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all transportation regulations; ensure timely arrival at job sites.
- Support ongoing training in HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and equipment repair techniques to stay current with industry standards.
Requirements
- Candidates must posses an active EPA certification.
- Candidates must have proven brazing experience and experience with leak detection.
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic with a strong background in construction environments.
- Hands-on experience with service technician tasks including troubleshooting electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, ammonia refrigeration processes, and mechanical components such as boilers and welds, condensers, and evaporator coils.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings and perform precise equipment repairs or installations.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
- Ability to work in various environments requiring physical activity such as lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces and in extreme weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities for effective customer interactions.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
