Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Weekend Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care from early morning through late evening shifts (7a-11p). The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and the ability to deliver compassionate care in a dynamic environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working within a supportive team. This position is a Full-Time with benefits position at a rate of $27.50-$37.50/hr, or a no benefits position at a higher rate of $30-$40/hr, depending on license type.
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and documentation of health status.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions when necessary, following established protocols.
- Monitor residents for signs of acute pain or distress and implement appropriate management strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Provide education and support to residents with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) with current registration in the state of practice.
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and acute pain management techniques.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in residents’ conditions promptly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
