About the Role
FalconTek is hiring four Security Administrative Assistants to support the security department of a major Navy ship maintenance command at Naval Station Norfolk — the largest naval base in the world. You'll be part of the team that keeps thousands of military, civilian, and contractor personnel badged, verified, and moving through one of the Navy's busiest industrial facilities. This is steady, mission-critical work on a long-term program with a stable 40-hour week, real paid overtime, and a team that supports the fleet every day.
What You'll Do
- Process DoD visit requests, verify citizenship and clearance data, and coordinate facility access for government, military, and contractor personnel
- Maintain security databases, access lists, badge records, and non-disclosure agreements — auditing for accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Support badging, fingerprinting, CAC resets, camera passes, and visitor control operations
- Operate and administer electronic access control systems (Lenel or similar) and CCTV; stand watch as assigned
- Support the command's physical security, personnel security, anti-terrorism, insider threat, and OPSEC programs
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in security disciplines — physical security, personnel security (clearances/background investigations), industrial security, anti-terrorism/force protection, OPSEC, or military security operations
- Experience with electronic security or access control systems (Lenel a plus) and CCTV operation
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; Adobe experience
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance
Preferred
- Active DoD SECRET clearance
- Prior military security experience — Navy Master-at-Arms, Army 31B, USMC 5811, or DoD civilian security (GS-0086/0080) background
- DCSA/CDSE coursework or security system certifications

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
