1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION
A member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.
2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Follow safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Departments.
- Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Help to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
3.0 COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 1-year experience in facility type maintenance, knowledge of tools and hydraulics.
- Must be able to operate a forklift as well as high bay lifts, etc.
- Knowledge of machinery maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLC control is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry is a plus.
- Knowledge of burner repair is a plus.
- Proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of welding is a plus.
- Maintain and complete work orders.
- Keep documentation of parts used.
4.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None.
5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates within a manufacturing facility. The employee is required to spend the entire shift in the manufacturing facility and will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift up to 50 pounds. Use of proper PPE is required including hearing protection
7.0 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Hours of work may vary based on business needs.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
