We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Basketball Coach to join our team. Represents Huddle Up Hoops as the Lead Daycare Basketball Coach, developing the ability, confidence & desire for children to be ACTIVE & READY for Life! With a passion for working with children, the Daycare Basketball Coach will carry out lesson plans that focus on basketball skills as well as life skills. We are looking for someone in the Dublin/Hilliard region.
Responsibilities:
- Be a sturdy leader in order to develop confident children who will grow into sturdy adults. (Sturdy = the ability to be connected to yourself and someone else at the same time)
- Review lesson plans and prepare with the basketball & life skill before each practice
- Keep up-to-date rosters in order to appropriately track attendance of players
- Provide direct coordination with the daycare facility to ensure that each player participates in daycare practice and is safely returned to their classes
- Build a caring relationship with each player, calling them by their name & emphasizing their strengths
- Commit to consistent shifts weekly in order to create stability and rapport with our players
- Set up/clean up equipment at each location, ensuring the environment is left how it was found
- Exhibit strong communication skills, adjusting style to best approach each age range
- Ensure that no child is out of sight range from Coach & all players are accounted for at all times
- Conduct practice with key focuses in mind; utilizing a huddle at the start and end of practice, stretching and the activities surrounding the lesson plan

Requirements:
- College Diploma Preferred (HS Diploma Required)
- CPR Certified (Company Provided)
