Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Lead food preparation and cooking processes to meet high-quality standards and presentation expectations
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Oversee dietary department requirements, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and special requests
- Support menu planning, catering, and banquet services to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, training new employees, and maintaining high morale
- Enforce food safety protocols and sanitation practices to uphold health regulations and quality assurance
- Coordinate shift management activities, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance
Experience
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
- Demonstrated supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive banquet experience and familiarity with catering operations
- Knowledge of inventory management, food service management, and kitchen operations
- Experience in managing dietary departments or special dietary needs is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Hands-on experience with food production, menu planning, and food safety standards
- Previous restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry are highly desirable
