Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing installations.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly of plumbing components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for plumbing and gas piping systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plumbing issues on construction sites or in existing facilities.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to coordinate installation processes on complex projects.
- Lift heavy materials safely during construction or remodeling projects while following proper safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and compliance reports.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on residential or commercial plumbing projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction plumbing systems, building code compliance, and schematic reading.
- Skilled in welding, pipe threading, assembly, remodeling, and maintenance tasks related to plumbing.
- Familiarity with gas piping systems and HVAC integration is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred for field service tasks.
- Prior handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects is a plus for versatile job performance.
Looking for a journeyman plumber who has the hours to test out as a master plumber. Ideal candidate would be alright with part time work occasionally, with full time potential as we increase our workload through word of mouth and referrals.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
