Responsibilities
- Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Support veterinary technicians with procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, medication administration, and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and sterilization of equipment and treatment areas.
- Help with laboratory tasks including sample collection, processing, and record keeping to ensure accurate patient data.
- Manage front desk duties such as client communication, appointment scheduling, and patient record updates.
- Support surgical procedures by preparing instruments, monitoring anesthesia under supervision, and assisting with post-operative care.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety for staff, clients, and animals at all times.
Experience
- Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly valued.
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal husbandry, anatomy, physiology, and behavior enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Hands-on experience with pet care procedures such as medication administration and animal restraint is beneficial.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques or veterinary critical care practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with clients and team members are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to follow aseptic techniques and maintain detailed records supports excellent patient care.

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
