Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Silverdale, WA area for the 2025-2026 academic year! You’ll serve either a blend of elementary and middle schools or a combination of multiple schools, providing both variety and meaningful relationships throughout the week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (Washington State eligible or obtained)
- Previous experience working with school-age children, preferably in a school setting
- Expertise with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with caseloads currently in the mid-50s, with a maximum caseload of 60
- Deliver OT services in elementary and/or middle schools; note that middle school students are typically seen 1-2 times monthly, with workload-based scheduling
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies to support student participation and achievement within the school setting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress monitoring for all assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote generalization of skills across environments
- Benefit from a minimum of 1.5 days each week of consistent COTA support
- Fulfill a 37.5-hour workweek on a school-year calendar
