BarTrack is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with recent NetSuite ERP implementation experience and hands-on knowledge of NetSuite SuiteBilling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both traditional accounting responsibilities and improving business processes through technology.
The successful candidate will play a key role in our NetSuite implementation while supporting monthly financial close, billing operations, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This individual will work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to help build scalable accounting processes that support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes as needed.
- Assist with revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting.
- Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors and tax advisors.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
NetSuite Implementation
- Serve as a key member of the NetSuite implementation team.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment.
- Help migrate accounting and customer data into NetSuite.
- Document accounting processes and recommend best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues and work with implementation partners to resolve them.
- Assist in developing internal controls and scalable accounting workflows.
SuiteBilling Responsibilities
- Manage customer billing within NetSuite SuiteBilling.
- Support subscription billing, recurring invoices, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
- Ensure billing accuracy and timely customer invoicing.
- Reconcile billing activity to the general ledger.
- Assist with customer account analysis and billing inquiries.
- Support revenue recognition processes associated with subscription contracts.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting processes.
- Improve reporting capabilities within NetSuite.
- Assist with dashboard development and KPI reporting.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
- Experience participating in at least one NetSuite ERP implementation.
- Hands-on experience using NetSuite SuiteBilling.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with subscription or SaaS billing.
- Experience with revenue recognition and deferred revenue.
- Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Familiarity with CRM integrations such as HubSpot.
- Experience with reporting tools and financial dashboards.
