Member Duties : The Special Needs Aide will expand and enhance the capacity of existing public health programs and services by supporting the overall well-being of students with impairments including, but not limited to diabetes, epilepsy, ADHD, health impairment, developmental delay, and autism. Position duties include: providing classroom health education; promoting Sources of Strength (SOS) student activities; helping with student emotional regulation skills; providing support in supervision and using mental health education in the Community Activities Program; shadowing school counselor; helping in classroom observation and second steps activities; providing one on one help for students having a hard time with behavioral issues on any given day.
