We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Gas Station Cashier to join our team. The cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean and organized store, and assisting customers with purchases.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit/debit, and other payments
- Handle lottery transactions, if applicable
- Sell gas, snacks, beverages, tobacco products, and other store merchandise in accordance with applicable laws
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and report any discrepancies
- Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as needed
- Keep the store, checkout area, and customer areas clean and organized
- Check product expiration dates and maintain proper displays
- Answer customer questions and assist with concerns
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Monitor the store and report suspicious activity or safety concerns to management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, but training is available
- Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting/stocking
- Must meet all applicable age requirements for the sale of age-restricted products
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
