Pastry Cook / Chocolate Production Assistant
Cacao Chemistry is looking for an entry-level Pastry Cook / Chocolate Production Assistant to join our kitchen team.
This is a hands-on production role helping with chocolate bark, bars, confections, pastry prep, packaging, cleaning, and kitchen organization.

At least 1 year of professional experience in baking, pastry, chocolate, café, restaurant, or food production is required.
This position begins with a 60-day introductory training period to ensure the role is a good fit for both parties. During that time, we’ll look at reliability, pace, attention to detail, communication, recipe accuracy, and team fit.
You’ll help with:
- Chocolate and confection production
- Pastry prep and components
- Packaging, labeling, and organizing product
- Cleaning, dishes, and kitchen upkeep
- Following recipes, prep lists, and food safety procedures
- Working at least one retail/store shift every other week so kitchen staff stay familiar with the customer experience, product presentation, and what we’re actually selling
This position requires standing for extended periods, moving safely in a working production kitchen, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Schedule: 18–30 hours per week, typically Tuesday–Friday daytime production shifts, with at least one retail/store shift every other week
Pay: $16.50–$19.50 per hour, based on relevant professional experience. Most entry-level candidates will start between $16.50 and $17.50.
