Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician (minimum of 5yrs experience) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver safe, reliable electrical solutions. Your proactive approach and problem-solving abilities will be vital in supporting our mission to maintain high-quality electrical systems. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions including snow and wind, and able to learn on the job. Eagerness to learn by enrolling in education courses will be rewarded with pay raises, and courses will be reimbursed if scores of 80% or higher are achieved.

Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex electrical circuits.
- Execute 0V-480V electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures and protocols.
- Install and maintain low voltage systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), security systems, fire alarms, and other automation components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, and other equipment efficiently to complete installations or repairs on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards by conducting thorough inspections and documentation throughout each project phase.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and other contractors
- Document daily performance and material usage accurately
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on commercial and automation electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems including motor controls, transformers, switchgear, and high-voltage wiring.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for safe installation practices.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools
- Construction site experience with familiarity in renovation projects or new build environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes combined with practical experience in applying them during installation or repair work.
