Our Operations Manager will oversee, organize and manage the daily operations of Sunair’s electronics manufacturing plant. They will oversee employees, production and efficiency and will make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely. They will also be responsible for instituting policies and procedures, training, maintaining a production schedule, giving performance reviews and motivating staff to meet company goals including OTD.
The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will encompass the following:
- Directly responsible for plant operations for production, repairs, purchasing, planning, material handling and shipping/receiving.
- Coordinate plant activities by planning with departmental managers to ensure site and customer objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for safety, production and quality standards. This includes improvements for efficiency using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Develop and mentor direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge in Electronics manufacturing.
1. Three or more years of electronics manufacturing experience
- Knowledgeable in ISO 9000/AS9100 policies and procedures.
- Strong knowledge in ESD principles.
- Strong knowledge in IPC 610 guidelines.
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft office suite.
Desirable:
1. Strong background with Lean Manufacturing.
