Part-Time Child Transportation Driver
North Stonington's Early Learners is seeking a dependable, safety-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Child Transportation Driver.
This position is ideal for retirees, stay-at-home parents, school bus drivers looking for supplemental income, or anyone seeking a consistent weekday schedule.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Early release school days: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Approximately 7–8 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Safely transport preschool children between North Stonington Public Schools and North Stonington's Early Learners using our center-owned passenger van.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all children are safely secured during transportation.
- Follow all childcare transportation and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and report any maintenance concerns.
- Work closely with school and childcare staff to ensure safe and timely transportation.
Qualifications
- Valid Connecticut driver's license.
- Current Connecticut V Endorsement (Passenger) required.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass all required state and federal background checks for employment in a licensed childcare program.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the safety and well-being of children.
Pay
$20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
