POSTION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Driver performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, and shipping in accordance to standard operating procedures and safe work practices, and general housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Under the direction, specific duties include:
- Unloads trailers using material handling equipment.
- Stocks merchandise in appropriate locations.
- Minimizes the creation of multiple locations.
· Maintains best routes for deliveries ·
- Complies with DOT regulations regarding the handling and shipping of Hazardous Material. - Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment and truck and trailer.
- Properly packs merchandise to ensure adequate protection and compliance with Hazardous Material regulations.
- Selects the most economical method of routing to maximize service and minimize freight costs.
- Accurately picks items from designated locations using picking tickets and other reports.
- Provides customer service backup by accurately picking will-call and counter orders when needed.
- Stages merchandise and completes necessary documents.
- Maintains inventory accuracy and minimizes multiple locations through the effective use of computerized scanning equipment and other inventory maintenance reports.
- Actively participates in E&R’s quality initiative and supports continuous improvement.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or similar work experience
- Qualified to drive Class A with CDL required

1-3 years of Warehouse experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to drive a 26ft box truck daily
- Computer knowledge- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Able to operate powered industrial equipment
- Able to operate computerized scanning equipment
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work conditions are typical of a typical Distribution Center
- Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs. and/or occasionally work in difficult positions
- Travel is typically limited to local in-market routes.

Long-haul and/or overnight routes are extremely rare.
- Able to drive delivery van and box truck
