Overview
Colorado Home Remodeling is primarily seeking a structural lead carpenter (but trim and non-structural framing work will also be available regularly.)
This is a part-time, W9 contract position, that in good years will range from 700 - 1200 hours, possibly more, depending on the year.
We already have a seasoned team covering all trades. This position will interface with all the other key trades on our comprehensive remodels. It will also have the dual role of being "eyes and ears" for job progress as well as trouble shooting potential future problems to avoid on the job or conflicts of workflow.
Requirements:
(2) structural framing references are required with your resume . Pay is DOE and a background check will be part of the application process.
A minimum of 10,000 hours of residential remodeling or construction experience, with at least 6,000 of those hours being devoted to structural framing of entire homes with at least 3,000 hours as a structural lead.
Ability to fluently read engineering plans, with a sound understanding of load carrying dynamics, have a firm grasp of a number of roofing systems, including trusses, traditional rafters, hips, steel and engineered beams, and the load types such as wind, snow, live, dead, etc. Familiarity with a wide array of fasteners and ties.
The immediate need is for an upcoming build up "pop top" on an existing home. Preference is for a well seasoned structural framer who has built at least (8) pop-tops with at least (3) of those being in the Lead Role for those jobs. We have an array of assistant carpenters who can help you, and we are also open to you bringing your own team members with you.
There is potential in the future for this role to lead to a management position overseeing a variety of trades and projects with Colorado Home Remodeling.

Pay: $40.00 - $52.00 per hour
