Position Title: Physical Education Teacher - 3rd-5th grade

Physical Education at Great Hearts:
Rigorous and joyful PE classes have a combination of strength and cardio exercises, training in the basics of sports, and discussions on the virtues, including fortitude, temperance, prudence, and justice.
Sports include baseball, soccer, volleyball, football, and basketball.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.

Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.

Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.

Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.

Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
