The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire is a statewide organization that connects and engages the wider Jewish community of New Hampshire through meaningful local, regional, and statewide activities.
JFNH advocates for the interests of the Jewish community locally and in Israel, raises and allocates resources to enable a thriving and safe Jewish New Hampshire, and partners with the state's synagogues to enhance and expand Jewish life throughout the state.
Position Overview
The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and personable Administrative & Community Engagement Coordinator to serve as a key member of our team. This position is often the first point of contact between JFNH and the community and plays an important role in donor stewardship, communications, event support, and office administration.
The ideal candidate is proactive, technology-savvy, customer-service oriented, and enjoys building relationships while ensuring that organizational systems and processes operate smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Relations & Office Administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community members, donors, volunteers, partner organizations, and visitors.
- Welcome guests, answer phones, respond to general inquiries, and ensure a warm and professional experience for all who interact with JFNH.
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining office organization, and coordinating administrative needs.
- Maintain organizational records, filing systems, and databases.
- Support the Executive Director, staff, board members, and volunteers with administrative projects and tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive donor, financial, and organizational information.
Donor Services & Database Management
- Process donations, pledges, tribute gifts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate donor acknowledgments, recognition letters, tribute notifications, and stewardship communications.
- Maintain accurate donor and constituent records within Bloomerang.
- Manage donor database workflows, automations, and data quality processes.
- Assist with fundraising campaigns, mailings, reports, and donor communications.
Communications & Marketing
- Create, schedule, and distribute the Federation's bi-weekly e-newsletter and other email communications.
- Maintain email distribution lists and communication databases.
- Support digital marketing and social media efforts.
- Coordinate outreach to partner synagogues and community organizations regarding Federation programs and initiatives.
Events & Program Support
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Federation events, meetings, workshops, and community programs.
- Manage registrations, attendee communications, event materials, and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate volunteer support and event preparation as needed.
- Assist staff with event setup, execution, and post-event reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in administrative support, customer service, nonprofit operations, communications, or related fields preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or similar technology preferred; experience with Bloomerang and Constant Contact is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds in support of events and office operations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
