Job Summary
We are seeking a Composite Technician to support aerospace and defense manufacturing operations in Poway, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on production professional with experience in composite assembly, carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, honeycomb materials, bonding, trimming, drilling, sanding, and blueprint reading.
In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and repair advanced composite structures while working from engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications. You will join a quality-focused production environment where teamwork, precision, safety, and continuous improvement are valued. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, align, and repair composite parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and production specifications.
- Perform composite bonding, adhesive application, sealing, surface preparation, trimming, routing, drilling, sanding, and finishing operations.
- Install rivets, bolts, screws, bushings, inserts, brackets, and related hardware using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, and templates.
- Cut and prepare carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, honeycomb, adhesives, and other composite materials using templates and work instructions.
- Conduct in-process inspections, alignment checks, measurements, and quality verification before final inspection.
- Maintain accurate production documentation while following OSHA, company safety procedures, and clean work area standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift availability noted.
- Location: Poway, CA.
