Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a positive attitude and assist with their food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipt issuance.
- Prepare simple food items when needed, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation protocols are followed.
- Efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to guests’ tables or designated areas, maintaining food quality and presentation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities by recommending popular or complementary items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station, dining area, and food pickup zones, adhering to sanitation and food safety regulations.
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure quick service times.
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to keep service flowing smoothly while providing excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Toast POS preferred.
- Experience in food preparation, food handling, or culinary roles will be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation standards in a restaurant or café setting.
- Retail sales experience involving grocery store or retail math is beneficial but not required.
