Site2 is a Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO) with the CyberAB specializing in helping Defense Industry contractors comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
Site2 has an opening for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer (SSE) to join our IT Services Team. The qualified candidate is expected to be very knowledgeable in virtualization/cloud computing, networking and desktop operating systems. They are expected to have a solid, broad technical background while also being personable and able to communicate patiently and effectively with end-user clients.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work in a fast paced Managed IT Services environment supporting over 100 small and mid-sized businesses.
- Provide hands-on, personalized client support services to end-users at all organization levels, roles and responsibilities.
- Administration of a multi-tenant Microsoft Azure cloud services environment.
- Administration of Microsoft Azure Government and Microsoft 365 GCC and GCC-High cloud tenants.
- Administration of Microsoft Active Directory Domains including developing, deploying and troubleshooting access groups and GPOs.
- Administration of Microsoft InTune MDM including developing, deploying and troubleshooting Conditional Access Policies.
- Support the overall migration to, unit & integration testing of, and final onboarding to hosted server and desktop virtualization solutions including engaging with vendors, clients and internal team members.
- Help devise, document and establish IT policies and standard operating procedures that support compliance with industry regulations.
- Work with the Cyber Security Team to identify threats and known vulnerabilities, and perform upgrades, configuration changes and/or new tools and systems to remediate threats and risks.
- Support remote monitoring, alerting and response technologies in support of cybersecurity controls.
- Participate in the analysis, testing and selection of client facing technology solutions.
- Support the IT budget and report on expenditures.
- Help ensure Site2 is prepared for a CMMC and SOC compliance audits.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for off hours and holiday support coverage.
Skills/Requirements:
- 5+ years Information Technology experience required
- A proven ability to engage with senior management, clients, and regulators.
- Experience managing projects using project management tools.
- Experience in supporting virtualization platforms. VMWare certification a plus.
- Expertise with architecting and migrating clients to the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Experience in setting up and troubleshooting complex networks and firewall scenarios. Fortinet experience preferred.
- Linux OS knowledge is a plus.
- Experience using RMM tools. ConnectWise RMM experience preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrates continuous learning through informal, on-the-job training as well as the formal achievement of industry certifications.
- Proven experience as a senior systems engineer, NOC/SOC Analysis or similar role.
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate with peers and the leadership team.
- Due to U.S. Federal contracts, applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
