EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides guidance and technical leadership for pavement maintenance and preservation across the state. Through your work, you will support quality standards, planning, analysis, and coordination with districts and counties. As a Roadway Programs Manager 1, you will perform the following duties: Technical Guidance: Provide direction on pavement preservation methods, treatments, and program developmentPolicy Development: Create and update maintenance policies, procedures, and technical manualsProgram Planning: Forecast needs, support long range planning, and maintain statewide pavement dataCoordination Work: Work with districts, counties, and agencies on pavement assessments and program goalsResearch Support: Review practices, analyze data, and contribute to studies that improve pavement strategiesStakeholder Liaison: Represent the department on committees and respond to technical inquiriesInterested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
