Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment including automated and manual machinery to package beef jerky and beef sticks according to product specifications and quality standards
- Interpret manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production documents to ensure accurate packaging processes
- Conduct material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and organizing packaging materials and finished products within the warehouse or production area
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting on packaging machinery to resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime
- Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and heavy lifting techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging station in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility or food production environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards applicable to food manufacturing
- Familiarity with packaging equipment, industrial machinery troubleshooting, and assembly processes
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and quality checks
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is a plus
- Strong adherence to safety standards in production settings with a focus on safety protocol compliance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials efficiently in a fast-paced environment
