Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Retail Shipping Lead responsible for assisting with preparation and staging orders.
Responsibilities
- Stock and maintain the warehouse, pick, pack, and document customer orders
- Access shipping program and cross-check orders for back-orders or discrepancies.
- Receive and unload shipments.
- Assist with materials prep for machine operators.
- Assist with inventory movement for order completion.
- Stage completed orders in proper warehouse areas for outgoing shipments.
- Weigh boxes or Gaylords for quality check.
- Populate shipping system with customer details and other needed information.
- Submit paperwork to supervisor for final check-off
- Use of forklift, pallet wrapping machine, power and hand tools as needed.
- Provide backup support for other positions like machine operator and hardware assembly roles
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Work Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
- 6mo. – 1yr. Forklift experience (preferred)
- Prior shipping and receiving experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for a majority of the shift.
- Ability to consistently lift from 30 to 50lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach consistently.
- Requires exposure to inclement weather conditions.
- Warehouse environment that can have a high noise level as well as dust from product manufacturing
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
