Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented In-House Landscape Technician with a strong background in mechanical work to join our facilities team. This role involves maintaining the landscape and grounds of our property while ensuring all mechanical systems related to landscape operations are in excellent working condition. This includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of landscape equipment and systems such as irrigation, lawn mowers, small engines, and related tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and mulching.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical landscape systems such as irrigation lines, valves, timers, and sprinkler heads.
- Diagnose and repair issues in small engines and landscape machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, and tractors).
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all landscape equipment and keep detailed service logs.
- Operate machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grounds and equipment storage areas.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during winter months (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members on landscaping projects and seasonal displays.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in small engine repair or mechanical systems preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in landscaping with a mechanical or maintenance focus.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining landscape machinery and power tools.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to read equipment manuals and interpret technical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL may be a plus).
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

- Outdoor work year-round with exposure to varying weather conditions.
