Here at The NJ ECC, we take pride in our care for our individuals. Our agency works with adults that are 21 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and who are behavioral as well. We work with individuals that age out of their schools and are looking to continue to stay with a program.
The CIS Program (Community Inclusion Services) is part of our Community Based Services Program. Our CIS Program is run out of Little Ferry and Ramsey on Saturdays only and is a day for our Day Habilitation Program clients and our CBS clients to come together for a fun day out! On this day, our individuals go out into the community and are able to interact not only with each other, but people in the community as well. We engage our clients in activities such as recreational outings, food outings, site seeing, etc. We take them to farms, zoos, malls, arcades, and more. We like to engage in fun activities with our clients while also teaching them proper etiquette in the community.
The CIS Program is a fast paced environment, so applicants with high energy are preferred. We are a Behavioral program and offer Behavioral services. Crisis Management training is provided and applicants will need to show their ability to be hands on with our clients if needed. Applicants are required to complete an initial interview with the Vice President of Human Resources, followed by a working interview. We offer transportation services for our clients to come to program using agency vehicles, so all applicants are required to have a valid driver's license with little or no points.
