This position exists to oversee productivity and quality expectations and to ensure production schedules are met. This is a second shift position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead a team of ~14 automated equipment operators on 2nd shift

Follows established procedures and approved supervisory processes

Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information, which will dictate the manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities to be employed

Ensure that operators are working safely, as well as meeting production, quality, and cost targets

Administer and execute policies, procedures, and practices that affect supervised employees

Relentlessly drive improvement of the operations under their purview using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement strategies, as well as by partnering with Engineering

Schedule production for high-quality, on-time/in-full delivery to the customer.

Play an integral role in creating a department that balances individual accountability with a fun, achievement-oriented, collegial environment

Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher desirable)

Lean or Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or equivalent) required; Green Belt preferred
Experience:
-
Good leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to determine the scheduling and line placement of various assembly work orders using available business information

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tool designs

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to solve problems at their root, independently or as part of a team

Understanding of continuous improvement practices, and able to lead others to complete improvement projects

Ability to delegate duties as needed
The work environment conditions are typical of both an office and a manufacturing environment.
