As a Student Transportation Driver, you will operate various passenger vehicles, including school buses, shuttles, and passenger vans, to transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and special events. Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses, passenger vans, shuttles, or other passenger vehicles along designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
- Assist students and passengers in boarding and disembarking safely, providing support as needed for those with mobility challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of routes traveled, passenger counts, and any incidents or delays during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, school staff, parents, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies to ensure compliance at all times.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with bus driving or passenger vehicle operation preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior delivery driver experience or shuttle driving background is advantageous.
- Experience operating passenger vans or medical transportation vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as lifting luggage or assisting passengers with mobility aids.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with students, staff, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with local driving routes and adherence to traffic regulations is essential.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance routines or basic troubleshooting is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours along scheduled routes within the community environment.
- Pay $40 to $52 per 2 hour route with at least 2 routes available per day. Additional trips are available at $23 to $24 an hour all depending on experience. If you do not have experience, we do have paid licensing and training. Must be willing to submit to a background check, physical, and drug screen.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
