The Volunteer and Community Relations Coordinator supports Reedsburg Area Medical Center’s mission and community engagement efforts through volunteer services, community relations, outreach, and select marketing and communication initiatives. This position coordinates the recruitment, engagement, retention, scheduling, recognition, and development of volunteers across RAMC and affiliated community programs, while also supporting community partnerships, events, and initiatives that strengthen RAMC’s relationship with the communities it serves.
Education and Training Required
- Associate Degree or higher in communications, marketing, public relations, business, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate RAMC's volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, engagement, recognition, and recordkeeping.
- Partner with departments to identify volunteer needs and support volunteers throughout the RAMC campus, Resale Beyond the Expected, and The Gift Shop at RAMC.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare partners, and local businesses to support RAMC's community outreach efforts.
- Assist with Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) initiatives and help develop programs that address identified community needs.
- Coordinate and participate in community events, health fairs, outreach activities, and other RAMC initiatives.
- Support RAMC marketing and communications through website updates, social media, newsletters, flyers, digital content, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with departments to promote RAMC services, programs, employees, volunteers, events, and community activities.
- Assist with reputation management by monitoring online reviews, social media feedback, and other communication channels.
- Manage Press Ganey data and reporting and help communicate relevant trends and information.
- Manage multiple projects, events, and priorities while working independently and collaboratively across the organization.
