Seasonal Part-Time Grounds Crew
Are you a self-starter who enjoys working outside? Are you looking for a part-time job with flexible hours? If so, you are strongly encouraged to apply for this position. The Country Club of Harrisburg Grounds Maintenance Department is currently hiring part-time seasonal help for our grounds crew. As a member of our Grounds Crew, you will be exposed to many aspects of maintaining a high-level golf course, as well as assisting in the upkeep of the club's surrounding landscape. This position is seasonal and operates from approximately May to October each year. The work schedule for this position can vary depending on the candidate and their need for flexible hours. Workdays will start at approximately 5:30 am or 6 am, and you will work until about 12 pm. Start and end times may vary slightly depending on the weather, golf events, and other factors. Hours are available Monday-Friday, and we will work with the right candidate to meet the days they are able to work. It is highly preferred that the right candidate be willing to work every other Saturday and Sunday morning. Weekend morning shifts are usually from 5:30 am to about 12 pm.
Pay: $17-19/hour based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
- Walking and riding mowing of playing surfaces
- Operation of backpack blowers, string trimmers, etc.
- Operation of large machinery (ex., tractors, mowers, etc.)
- Use hand tools to complete various tasks
- Assist in special projects around the property
- Operate specialty machinery (ex., roller, aerifier, etc.)
- Duties and Responsibilities

- Course setup
- Assisting with irrigation system repairs
- Sand bunker maintenance
- Basic landscape maintenance practices
- Operating all machinery in a safe and responsible manner
- Other maintenance tasks as assigned
- Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekend mornings as needed
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be physically capable of performing simple manual labor tasks
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must be adaptable and able to work independently for extended periods
- Previous grounds maintenance experience is preferred but not required
- Must be dependable and punctual, with transportation to and from work
