We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support both patient record management and appointment coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role plays an important part in helping ensure accurate documentation, efficient scheduling, and a positive experience for patients and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with organizational policies and privacy requirements.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while optimizing provider calendars and clinic workflow.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper filing within electronic and/or paper record systems.
- Respond to patient inquiries by phone, email, or in person regarding scheduling, records, and related administrative matters.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow and timely communication.
- Process records requests and assist with releasing information in compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.
- Track appointments, cancellations, follow-ups, and other scheduling needs to help reduce gaps in care.
- Support general front-office and administrative duties as needed.
- Previous experience in medical records, scheduling, patient services, or healthcare administration preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, scheduling software, and electronic health record platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Professional, patient-focused approach with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare office workflows and medical terminology.
- Experience handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy standards.
- Familiarity with insurance verification, referral processing, or authorizations is a plus.
