Overview
We are seeking a dependable and professional Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our busy podiatry office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and strong organizational abilities. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining an organized front office environment.
Duties
- Answer multi-line phones, and schedule, reschedule, or cancel patient appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and process payments.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient inquiries via phone or email, providing clear information and resolving issues promptly.
- Perform clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, scanning, etc.
Skills
- Knowledge of EHR systems.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, especially within medical reception setting.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures.
