The Director of Client Engagement is a licensed attorney responsible for conducting all new client consultations and leading Fighter Law's Client Engagement Specialist (CES) team. This is not a traditional litigation role. The ideal candidate is a sharp legal mind who thrives in a fast-paced intake environment, is passionate about connecting clients to solutions, and has the leadership skills to coach and hold a team accountable to measurable outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Consultations & Legal Qualification
- Conduct all initial consultations with potential clients across all practice areas, including Criminal Defense, Family Law, Injunctions, Personal Injury, Guardianship and Probate.
- Evaluate case viability, advise potential clients on legal options and next steps, and provide fee and payment plan recommendations in alignment with Firm guidelines.
- Prepare and send post-consultation notes, including proposed fee structures, in Clio Grow for CES follow-up.
Pipeline Management
- Actively monitor the Clio Grow pipelines to track high-priority potential clients who have consulted with the Firm but have not yet retained.
- Identify stalled leads and collaborate with CES team members to determine appropriate follow-up strategies.
- Partner with management to analyze conversion data and implement initiatives to improve retention rates.
CES Team Supervision & Compliance
- Supervise the Client Engagement Specialist team, ensuring matters are being created and documented in accordance with Firm SOPs.
- Serve as the primary legal resource for the CES team, answering questions about case qualification, practice area eligibility, and county jurisdiction.
- Review intake quality and flag errors or process gaps for management review.
- Support the onboarding and training of new CES team members on intake procedures and legal qualification standards.
Meetings & Process Improvement
- Attend weekly metrics meetings to review CES and intake performance data, including call volume, conversion rates, follow-up completion, and team KPIs.
- Collaborate with management to identify process improvements, develop training materials, and refine intake workflows.
- Contribute to the development and revision of intake guidelines, scripts, and SOPs to reflect updated practice areas, pricing, and Firm policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience in one or more of Fighter Law's practice areas (Criminal Defense, Family Law, Injunctions, Personal Injury, Guardianship and Probate).
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly in a consultation setting.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn Clio Grow and Clio Manage.
Preferred
- Experience supervising or mentoring support staff.
- Background in legal intake, client development, or business development within a law firm.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
