Job Details:
- Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour (with $3.85 being contributed to HSA if non-insured)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Duration: Up to 6 months (Temporary assignment; may end sooner if a direct hire is made)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- MA diploma is required, MA certification is preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Current BLS/CPR Certification required.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of recent Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinical setting.
- At least one year of recent Pediatrics experience is required.
- Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
- Experience with pediatric patient rooming, vital signs, immunizations, injections, venipuncture, specimen collection, and patient education.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric workflows and preventive care.
Responsibilities As a Medical Assistant II, you will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient daily operations within a busy Pediatric outpatient clinic.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Room pediatric patients and prepare them for provider examinations.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs, height, weight, and other required clinical information in EPIC.
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications and pediatric immunizations via intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections under physician or nursing supervision.
- Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and ensure specimens are sent to the appropriate laboratory according to protocol.
- Perform routine clinical procedures and screenings following established protocols.
- Process prescription refill requests according to clinic guidelines.
- Document patient concerns, phone calls, symptoms, and clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Monitor and replenish exam room supplies and maintain inventory.
- Promptly communicate abnormal findings or patient concerns to licensed clinical staff.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Answer and route multi-line phone calls professionally.
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments and consultations.
- Greet patients and families while providing outstanding customer service.
- Verify demographic and insurance information and obtain required patient signatures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support daily clinic workflow by assisting with chart preparation and other administrative duties.
