We're seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician to install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and service advanced digital control systems for commercial and institutional facilities. Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
-
Install, commission, and verify BAS control systems
-
Validate control sequences and ensure compliance with project specifications
-
Complete commissioning documentation and reports
-
Maintain accurate as-built control documentation
-
Support project demonstrations for commissioning agents and customers
-
Coordinate with electrical contractors and other trades to ensure successful project delivery
Programming & System Implementation
-
Configure BAS databases, graphics, and control programs
-
Develop and implement sequences for new construction and retrofit projects
-
Verify system functionality and project compliance
Service & Troubleshooting
-
Diagnose and resolve BAS and DDC system issues
-
Perform preventive maintenance and site assessments
-
Support system upgrades and modifications
-
Provide technical support and training to customers
-
Identify replacement parts and prepare service documentation
Technical Leadership
-
Assist HVAC technicians with controls-related challenges

Mentor junior team members
-
Support project managers and internal teams with technical expertise

Maintain project documentation and system records
-
Identify opportunities to improve customer systems and operational performance
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, OR
-
Associate degree, diploma, or technical certification in a related field, OR
-
Five or more years of BAS controls experience
-
Valid driver's license
Preferred Experience
-
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and equipment
-
Tridium Niagara N4 and/or AX programming
-
Distech Controls experience
-
Controller programming experience with at least one OEM platform
-
BAS commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup experience
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
