About the Role
We're a [jewelry / diamond trading] office seeking a detail-oriented Diamond Sorter / Quality Control Specialist to inspect, grade, and sort loose diamonds and finished jewelry. This is a hands-on role for someone with a sharp eye, steady hands, and a high standard for precision. You'll be responsible for ensuring every stone and piece meets our quality and accuracy standards before it moves forward.
Responsibilities
- Sort loose diamonds by size, shape, color, clarity, and cut
- Inspect finished jewelry for defects, setting issues, and finishing quality
- Verify stones against parcels, memos, and inventory records for accuracy
- Use loupes, scales, and grading tools to assess and measure stones
- Flag discrepancies, damage, or non-conforming items and document findings
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling and security of merchandise
- Keep workstation organized and follow all inventory control procedures
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, high-value items
- Good color vision and manual dexterity
- Prior experience in diamond sorting, grading, or jewelry QC preferred
- GIA coursework or certification a plus (not required)
- Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable handling high-value inventory
- Able to sit and focus for extended periods
Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
Work Location: In person
