A leading manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial heating and cooling systems in Murfreesboro, TN is expanding. We are urgently hiring a Level 3 Test Run Technician to serve as the ultimate quality gatekeeper between our Production and Quality Assurance teams.
Forget unpredictable field service hours, constant travel, and weather extremes. In this facility-based role, you will run the final line of defense—ensuring our custom-engineered, large-scale industrial systems are flawless before they ship to global clients.
Core Responsibilities:
System Commissioning: Run full-spectrum diagnostic, electrical, and refrigeration test protocols on high-capacity industrial units.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex control panels, PLC interfaces, three-phase power systems, and specialized refrigeration loops.
Quality Gatekeeping: Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests, analyze superheat/subcooling metrics, and sign off on final compliance.
Root-Cause Analysis: Partner with engineering and production leads to catch assembly errors early and implement permanent fixes.
Mentorship: Guide junior technicians on advanced diagnostics and enforce strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) safety protocols.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial HVAC, commercial refrigeration testing, or heavy electrical/mechanical manufacturing.
Certification: EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is required.
Technical Skills: Exceptional ability to read complex electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and P&ID prints.
Tool Mastery: Expert use of digital manifolds, multimeters, and leak detection systems.

Responsibilities
Final Assembly & Diagnostic Testing
System Commissioning: Perform final operational test runs on high-capacity industrial chillers and heaters, validating full system functionality under simulated field conditions.
Electrical & Control Diagnostics: Inspect, test, and troubleshoot industrial control panels, PLC configurations, three-phase power distribution, and safety circuits.
Refrigeration Testing: Monitor, log, and analyze critical refrigeration metrics—including superheat, subcooling, compressor pull-down, and pressure differentials.
Hydrostatic & Leak Testing: Supervise and verify structural integrity tests on industrial water piping, cupronickel heat exchangers, and closed/open-loop plumbing networks.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Defect Documentation: Systematically document test results, engineering deviations, and performance logs to maintain strict traceability.
Root-Cause Analysis (RCA): Identify recurring assembly errors or component failures, collaborating with production supervisors and engineers to implement immediate corrective actions.
Compliance Sign-Off: Act as the final quality gatekeeper, ensuring all units comply with electrical safety standards (NEC/NFPA 70), local codes, and internal manufacturing specifications.
