Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and various machining processes. The Laser Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate parts from sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and production requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Use hand tools and basic math skills for setup and adjustments during the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Experience operating milling machines, plasma cutting equipment, or stamping presses is preferred.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Mazak Laser Operation a plus.

- CNC programming: 1 year (Preferred)
- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (Required)
